Diploma Options

Requirements:

• Four Carnegie units of English and Mathematics with the completion of English I, English II, and Algebra I.
• Three Carnegie units of Science with the completion of Biology I.
• Three and a half Carnegie units of Social Studies, including World History, US History, US Government (0.5), Economics (0.5), and Mississippi Studies (0.5).
• One-half Carnegie units of physical education. 
• One-half Carnegie units of Health.
• One Carnegie unit of a Fine Art, College & Career Readiness, and Technology or Computer Science.
• Five and a half Carnegie units of electives.
• Have a completed total of twenty-four Carnegie units.
   

Requirements:

• Four Carnegie units of English and Mathematics with the completion of English I, English II, and Algebra I.
• Four Carnegie units of Science with the completion of Biology I.

• Eight Carnegie units of electives.
• Earn an overall GPA of 2.5
• Earn MS IHL & Community College readiness benchmarks (ACT subscores of 17 in English and 19 in Mathematics)
• Must successfully complete three of the following:
• One AP course with a C or higher and take the appropriate AP exam
• One Diploma Program IB course with a C or higher and take the appropriate IB exams
• One academic dual credit course with a C or higher in the course
• Have a completed total of twenty-eight Carnegie units.

Requirements:

All of the requirements of the Traditional Diploma listed above, plus:

• Four Carnegie units of a CTE elective (completion of a two-year program).
• Earn an overall GPA of 2.5
• Earn Silver level on ACT WorkKeys
• Must successfully complete one of the following:
• One CTE dual credit or articulated credit in the high school CTE course
• Work-based learning experience or Career Pathways Experience
• Earn a state board of education approved national credential
• One AP or diploma program IB course aligned to their career pathway. Students must earn a C or higher and take the appropriate exam.
• Have a completed total of twenty-eight Carnegie units.

Requirements:

All of the requirements of the Traditional Diploma with Academic Endorsement listed above, plus:

• Overall GPA of 3.33
• Earn national college readiness benchmarks on each subtest established by the ACT of 18 in English and 22 in Mathematics.
• Must successfully complete three of the following:
  • AP course with a C or higher and take the appropriate AP exam.
  • Diploma Program IB course with a C or higher and take the appropriate IB exams.
  • Academic Dual Credit course with a C or higher in the course.
• Have a completed total of thirty-two Carnegie units.
