I'm very excited to be joining the Greyhound Nation this year. My main role for the 2019/20 school year will be teaching Junior and Senior English, but I'll also be acting as AP Coordinator.
As far as my background, I have a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of South Alabama. While this will be my first year teaching at the high school level, I've been an adjunct professor of language arts at MGCCC since 2014. I plan to use my experience at the next level to help prepare my students for whatever they decide to do after high school. Whether they need strong comprehension and communication skills for real-life situations or more formal training for collegiate projects and research papers, I believe I can be a great source of information and inspiration.
I've lived in Ocean Springs with my small but growing family for the last 4 years, and we love it here. When I'm not searching for something fun to do with my wife Callie and son Riot, I'm writing fiction, lyrics, music, and/or working on panels for my self-published quarterly comic book.
